Briggitte Steputtis in collaboration with London based ScanLAB uses

cutting edge technology data mapping to create virtual representations of the human form through video ScanLAB capture data using the latest 3D laser scanning technology to conduct pointcloud surveys. This video shows a couple in a mis-en-scene setting that looks perfect at first glance until the scanning device fails to translate data and the figures begin to appear like hollow ash. The work tests new ground in that it relies on technology devised to produce high-level accuracy, yet results in poetic reality, which is simultaneously both enchanting and haunting and includes a soundtrack by Mat Dukasse a.k.a. Matty Skylab.
