Christopher Bucklow - ‘Psychocosm’, British Museum Residency 2003 Museums have their origins in Encyclopaedic collections that were intended to provide insights into the micro- and macro-cosmic totality - to illuminate the nature of Man and the nature of Nature. Bucklow's residency at the British Museum coincides with the 250th anniversary of its foundation. His research involves a dialogue with its curators on the mythology and religions of world cultures and specialists on evolutionary theory and psychology from London University. This will lead to cycle of drawings and a publication with essays from Adam Phillips, Roger Malbert and Marina Warner.
